New Slogan for NC?

The way things are going, Pat McCrory will have to change North Carolina’s new branding slogan from “Nothing Compares” to “Nobody Comes to NC.”

While the Governor and his media minions are freaking out over the Hate Bill 2 media frenzy, Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal is making hay.

This week Deal, a Republican, vetoed a controversial, so-called Religious Freedom bill, saying:

“I do not think we have to discriminate against anyone to protect the faith-based community in Georgia of which I and my family have been part of all of our lives….Georgia is a welcoming state. It is full of loving, kind and generous people.”

Smart. Georgia now stands to clean North Carolina’s clock on attracting businesses the way it has on motion pictures.

One TAPster noted:

“Sort of odd to see Georgia taking the high road. Since the 50s-60s, NC and GA have vied for business and as center of the New South.  Some of our biggest gains were when Lester Maddox was Gov of GA.  Not quite sure why we’re returning the favor – except Deal cannot run for reelection and McCrory is.  As Trump would say, ‘Sad’.”
