Coverage of DHHS illustrates the extreme media bias that pervades Big Media in North Carolina.
Carter Wrenn, right here on TAP, blew the whistle on DHHS shananigans in the Purdue administration, some of which went back to Easley that involved a lot more money than the penny ante things that the media is now spewing venom on with the McCrory administration. What a difference the party in power makes to how the media covers things. Funny thing, the ideological hacks in North Carolina media ignored all of the stuff Carter pointed out, but now they go into a BLUEPRINT frenzy over more minor things that a leftist group keeps feeding to them.
Yes, Wos has a tin ear and no political savvy in some of the salaries involved, but at least the people hired actually show up for work and are not spying on anybody. That cannot be said of Mather Slaughter, a Democrat Jim Hunt campaign worker hired by the Hunt administration at a salary that, adjusted for inflation, would be in line with some of those that Democrats and their media parrots are now whining about at DHHS. Slaughter's first job with state government involved political spying on the state's sheriffs, and when the sheriffs raised a stink about that, Slaughter was sent to run security at the state port at Morehead City. Who knows what he really did in that job, if anything, because records came out that he rarely came into work at his office, but was paid big bucks anyway. How soon some people forget.
The media has outted itself as nothing but a mouthpiece for the leftists and the Democrats, and they don't mind distortions and outright lies when it helps their political buds.
