While I was gone, Governor McCrory came out against college education and Republican legislators came out against women’s nipples. These are two (or three?) big reasons I’m not a Republican.

In fairness, the Governor took it back. He said he was for college education after he was against it. Kind of like John Kerry.

Then his communications director departed for Tennessee. (That’s right, blame the PR guy!)

But there is no retreat on the nipple front.

I’m looking forward to catching up with the other big news. We took a cruise to the Caribbean. Sat in the sun, swam in the ocean, ate good food, drank good beer and wine, ate more good fed, slept a lot and read five books.

Years ago, a wise friend told me that the secret to surviving winter is to go someplace warm in late January or early February. He was right.

By the way, a big thank-you to the pinch-bloggers, named and unnamed, who kept Carter company.

It was good to be gone and it’s good to be back.

Hip, hip, horray!!! Gary is back. And, it didn't take much time for him to start the same old, same old hate-speek against republicans. He's saying he's not a republican for "two (or three?)" big reasons. Folks, Gary is not a republican for one big reason....he makes his living being a democrat. End of story. So, when we read his "stuff" here on TAP, we should look at it from that perspective. And, yeah, to be fair....that applies to Carter also, only on the opposite side of the equation, of course. The big difference for me is that I agree with most of what Carter says and disagree with almost everything Gary says. But hey.....what do I know. I'm just a peon blogster with an attitude.

McCrory has been governor less than a month. Already I don't like a couple things he's done but then, I doubt very seriously ANYONE would have made me perfectly happy or ever will make me perfectly happy politically. Let's at least give the guy a year or so to get his agenda...his WHOLE agenda...in place. Shoot, the ink hasn't even dried on the paperwork he has signed to get his cabinet in place for crying out loud !!!

Glad ya had a great vacation, Gary. Did ya miss me?(hahaha...just kidding!). I was elated that many of the subs that stood in for you here on the Front Page actually posted messages under their own name and didn't accept being identified as some elusive "Tapster". Kudos to TAP and kudos to all of those posters for that.
