Worst rationale for voting for Romney: maybe Democrats will cooperate with him, unlike Republicans who refused to work with Obama.

D.G. Martin asked about that argument when he interviewed Carter, Tom Drew and me on WCHL last week.

That rewards obstructionism. It rewards Washington Republicans who set out from the beginning of President Obama’s administration to destroy him, even if they destroyed the country in the process.

Four years ago, when President Bush and Henry Paulsen were begging Democrats to bail out their stimulus program, Democrats responded. But bipartisanship collapsed when the tables turned.

If Romney wins and Democrats act like Republicans, how long will it take for Republicans to whine over the loss of bipartisanship?

Not so fast, Gary. It was YOUR boy in the White House who told the Republican leadership "Elections have consequences; I won" when they asked about compromise. Read Bob Woodward's book. It also has the REST of Sen. McConnell's quote on making Barry a one term president--his goal is not to make Obama fail, but to CHANGE. Read the book.

No matter who wins tomorrow (or whenever the race is finally decided), the president will have to compromise with the opposition if he wants to get anything done at all. The current occupant of that office has proven that possesses neither the wisdom, nor the judgement, nor the maturity to do that. If the voters choose Romney tomorrow the country has a chance. If they choose Obama the country will remain mired in the same stagnant economic and political swamp he put us in. Simple choice.

Oh good grief. Two works: Robert Bork
Democratic obstructionism at its finest, and it hasn't stopped since.

The fact is that our government is designed to do very little when it's divided. That's a good thing, to keep somebody from taking a narrow election as some sort of mandate for all sorts of change.

The millions spent by thousands of Lobbyists expect favors. Buy them.

We need a Washington revolution and kick all out

NYT had superb article on Wall Street employees going into many many many government jobs in Congress and White House

They left for a much lower paying job.
Conclusion—Wall Street biggies are placing them in positions to make decisions for Wall Street.
Pay under table or? Many have done this. Worked in Wash for few years then back to Wall street into a higher paying job

This is sad sad. RULES MUST CHANGE

Restate Glass Steagall---separate Casinos from local banks

County Banking Systems—local wealth kept local to create more local wealth and jobs
WASHINGTON SOLUTIONS (Congress + White House)

3. Progressive Flat Tax by group—We have the income to pay our way-do it
We rank #2 as lowest taxed in OECD nations. We have an income of $14,00 billion yet tax 2400 and borrow 1300. Dumb?
