The Associated Press reported a pair of odd facts the other day.

In a headline the AP reported, “Obama using voter registration to stay close in NC” – then told how President Obama’s massive voter registration drive is helping him win North Carolina – by registering 250,000 new Obama voters.

So far, that sounds logical.

But, then, further down in the story the AP reported another fact – it said that, according to the State Board of Elections, “Democratic registration has fallen by about 90,000 while unaffiliated voters have increased by more than 250,000. Republican registration stayed about the same, increasing by 5,000 during the same timeframe.”

Now, that creates a conundrum.

If there are 90,000 fewer Democrats, where on earth did those 250,000 new Obama voters go? Is President Obama’s campaign registering Independents instead of Democrats? Of course it’s possible, technically. President Obama’s campaign did, in fact, register 250,000 new Democrats and that Democratic registration dropped 90,000 – but it seems unlikely. And, even if it happened, the bottom line is still the same: Any way you look at it there are 90,000 fewer Democrats now – to vote for President Obama – than there were four years ago.

Second Fact Check On Spending
The last budget of Bush spent 3510B
Actual spent in fiscal 2012 was 3540.
The 2013 budget projects spending at 3800B.
That indicates that Obama will increase spending
from 3510 to 3800 or 8.3% for four years.
Compare to Reagan 80% and Bush 90% (1830 to 3510)
One big problem is failure to tax to get revenue to pay our way
thereby creating the horrid debt burden.
In fiscal 2012 we borrowed 1100B. A shame. While corporations made record profits and richest got much richer. We have the income to pay our way.
The revenue in fiscal 2012 was 2450B is why we rank below only Chile and Mexico as Least Taxed in OECD nations. The 2450 is 17% of our National Income.
Runaway unfunded spending is in Medicare and Pentagon.
We must cut the runaway spending and tax wealth more to start paying down the debt.

ROMNEY SCARE YOU
Wants to cut taxes---35% to 28%--eliminate Estate Tax-- where one family owns as much Wealth as 90% of families—keep capital gains at 15%--where 25 Hedge Fund Managers made 22 Billion in 2010
and paid the low 15% and less than 1% or zero in Payroll tax—offset revenue loss by closing loopholes
Ha. Each loophole has proponents to fight for them—Increase military spending biggest waster of all—Our armies in 800 bases worldwide. We pursue bad trade agreements that allow unrestricted access to our markets. We cannot compete with $1 labor so watch our factories closing. 58,000 closed in last decade.

We must demand better self serving policies. Tariffs on imports. High tax rate to pay down that horrid debt like 1945-1980 tax rates and tax on estates. The Middle Class has been hurt badly with loss of good paying jobs with benefits. Protect our safety nets which have served us well for over half a Century.

Mitt is a rich mans candidate no spin can deny it. He will cut taxes for his rich pals and shred safety nets.
This Man scares me very much. I do no trust his motives
