The poll, done by Mason-Dixon, “found that 51 percent of registered voters in North Carolina think Congress should not change the U.S. health care system this year. Thirty-eight percent think that lawmakers should take action.”
But then the story went on: “The poll asked voters how they fell along a spectrum of reform possibilities, from major overhaul to no change at all. Twenty-seven percent of respondents said they wanted a major overhaul with guaranteed coverage, while 40 percent wanted to control costs and expand availability.”
That is, 67 percent wanted changes in the health-care system.
So take your choice. Either 51 percent don’t want change – or 67 percent do.

It's really pretty simple. Most folks agree (rightly) that the current 'system' has problems, but most also have little confidence (rightly) in the Congress to fix them. President Obama and his allies in Congress have only themselves to blame for that perception, since it's one they created with their tin-eared ineptitude. With total control of both chambers for over a year, all they could come up with was a program so incrediblly costly, unrealisticly funded, destructive of the few things in the system that currently work, and riddled with special favors for cronies that they couldn't get their own party to go along with it. The people have correctly deduced that this gang does not have the best interests of the American people at heart, and have wisely decided to wait for a better deal.
