Republicans – including Senator Richard Burr – couldn’t wait to blame the Obama administration for the Christmas Day terrorist scare.
In other words, to indulge in the kind of politics they called unpatriotic when Bush and Cheney were in charge.
Let’s look at some facts.
A. Burr agrees with the President that the failed attack in Detroit was a colossal failure in communications between the State Department, the intelligence community and the Department of Homeland Security.
B. Burr concludes that the Obama administration isn't being tough enough in the war on terrorism.
C. The 9/11 attacks took place almost 100 months ago.
D. Obama has been President for 11 months.
E. Bush and Cheney were in charge of American security for 89 months.
Now let’s play the blame game.

Gary, man, this doesn't even make sense. After 11-months on the job, the current admin is on the hook for the blame, not the previous. I give the president credit for stepping up and accepting the blame for the "unacceptable" failure of the government to prevent this terrorist from getting this close to killing innocent people. What scares me the most is that this is the bureaucracy liberals want to put in charge of health care in America. Bureaucracy never works.

After nearly a year on the job, Comrade Obama and his apoloists are still blaming Bush. Amazing. Get over it. It is your guy who has weakened our national security posture. The new Rasmussen poll shows that by almost 2 to 1, 58% to 30%, Americans would like to see the underwear bomber waterboarded, and 71% want to see him tried by a military tribunal rather than a civilian court. But Obama will still be whining about ''torture''. Man are the Dems totally out of touch with reality and with America!

Months into W's first term, over 3000 American civilians are dead in NY, PA, and VA after a terrorist attack on American soil. Months into Obama's first term, a failed attack (if it's even worthy of being called an attack) killed no civilians on American soil in MI. Which President kept us safe? Don't bother answering.
