No Tears for Ted

"Hate" is the wrong word when it comes to how those that aren't far left liberals felt about Ted Kennedy. Disgust and disagreement would fit far better. Kennedy was an extreme far left liberal democrat. I find it difficult to believe that anyone can argue that. Many people in the U.S. disagreed with him as he continuously tried to get legislation that would implement government-paid abortions not only in the U.S. but in the countries that we supported financially overseas. Many people that were alive (include me here) when the Mary Jo Kopechne event happened believe STRONGLY that he got a pass on this because of his name and position. He was a bastion of liberalism and although his long service often saw him doing good deeds and his hundreds of millions of dollars of worth (it is on Google if you want to see it) were often used to help underprivileged people, he was also said to be condescending and extremely difficult to work for and a womanizer and lacking in moral character. I'm sure many D.C. politicians have this same fault...that's not the issue here. If we are to put "honors" and "respects" onto someone, they should at least deserve it. Kennedy did good deeds. I know that. But, please don't make him out to be a saint. He was F A R from that.
