The most ludicrous assertion made in Raleigh this week (no mean feat) was the suggestion by disgraced Rep. Thomas Wright’s attorney that avenging blogger Joe (the Sledgehammer) Sinsheimer targeted Wright because Wright fell "out of favor with the power structure in the North Carolina House."
Ludicrous because Sinsheimer’s crusade against corruption was about as welcome among the Democratic power structure as the plague.
I remember when members of the “power structure” were speculating about who was paying Sinsheimer, who he was working for and why he was targeting Democrats like Jim Black and Wright.
The answers, in order: nobody, nobody and because he was sincerely angry and offended by what was going on.
