Not so fast, Gary. It was YOUR boy in the White House who told the Republican leadership "Elections have consequences; I won" when they asked about compromise. Read Bob Woodward's book. It also has the REST of Sen. McConnell's quote on making Barry a one term president--his goal is not to make Obama fail, but to CHANGE. Read the book.

No matter who wins tomorrow (or whenever the race is finally decided), the president will have to compromise with the opposition if he wants to get anything done at all. The current occupant of that office has proven that possesses neither the wisdom, nor the judgement, nor the maturity to do that. If the voters choose Romney tomorrow the country has a chance. If they choose Obama the country will remain mired in the same stagnant economic and political swamp he put us in. Simple choice.

Oh good grief. Two works: Robert Bork
Democratic obstructionism at its finest, and it hasn't stopped since.

The fact is that our government is designed to do very little when it's divided. That's a good thing, to keep somebody from taking a narrow election as some sort of mandate for all sorts of change.
