For five years, the NC Democratic Party has been under attack.

Of course, the Party is always under attack from the Outside, from Republicans and Libertarians. But they don't disguise themselves as Democrats and try to infiltrate the Party by hiding inside a Trojan Horse.

That's what another Outside political group did. Outside the Party. Outside the State.
.
Progressive Democrats of America is an Out-of-State Political Action Committee, formed in 2004, now with Chapters in 2 dozen other states. That's legit, except that they are flying under false colors: PDA has no affiliation with the National Democratic Party. It's primary intention is to invade and change the Democratic Party to conform to its privately developed Agenda, conceived entirely independently outside the Party organization.

Progressive Democrats of NC, Inc., incorporated in 2004 as a top-down, exclusive private membership Corporation, is also flying under false colors: PDNC has no affiliation with the North Carolina Democratic Party. It's primary intention is to invade and change the Democratic Party to conform to its privately developed Agenda, conceived entirely independently outside the Party organization.

You see the similarity? Both are predatory organizations, formed Outside, not Inside, the Democratic Party.

The NC Democratic Party never selected PDNC. It was PDNC that selected the Party as its Target to invade.

For all practical purposes, PDNC is just as Alien to the Democratic Party as is the Republican Party. The difference is this: Republicans are Outsiders, and everyone knows who they are and their motives. PDNC is a parasite far more dangerous than Republicans to the health and well being of its selected host, the NC Democratic Party.
PDNC snuggles up and pretends to be an Inside friend of the Party, until its own competing Agenda grows into conflict with the Party.

That's when its Progressive Members attack without warning, pouring out of the Trojan Horse which was dragged inside the Party by the former State Party Chair, as a personal reward he gave to Progressives for electing him State Chair in 2005.

The result? For 5 years, PDNC has continually divided Party unity by excluding selected Democrats because of their beliefs, by attacking Democrats that this private Corporation refuses to support, and by damaging the Party's public position and its ability to do battle with Republicans.

PDNC has advocated from it's beginning that Progressive Members covertly infiltrate the NC Democratic Party by becoming elected as Officers at all levels, from Precinct to State Executive Committee. For instance, current State Party 2nd Vice Chair Delmas Parker is a Progressive Infiltrator, whose first allegiance lies with PDNC.

This is little different from how the Communist Party attempted to conquer America in the early 1900's: form covert cells, infiltrate, and overthrow. It seems that each Century we must re-learn the lessons of democracy vs. tyranny all over again. No other political organization in recent history has ever tried such a brazen infiltration of a Political Party.

In Edition 150, we looked at crimes that certain Progressives elected as Officers of the NC Democratic Party committed against a fellow Party Officer on a reoccurring basis during 2009. Names of the Perps were not given, so that the guilty could make amends and remain in the Party if they so chose. None have, and so instead stand exposed for willfully Stalking a fellow Democratic Officer for the purpose of sabotaging her Campaign, and thereby electing her Republican opponent to Public Office.

Previously identified only as Progressive FlusterCluckers, these Party Officers are UNFIT TO SERVE the Democratic Party as an Officer in any capacity, based upon violations of Section 10 of the NCDP Plan of Organization, which includes: disloyal conduct, aberrant behavior unbecoming an Officer of the Party, sabotaging a Democratic Candidate's Campaign, and aiding the election of a Candidate of an opposing party.

I.A.1. Telesca published an attack Weblog entitled "Run, Catherine, Run" from January 2009, in anticipation of his fellow Wake Co Party Officer's registration to run for Cary Town Council in October. Telesca posted misinformation and distortions to discourage her from running, and continued harassments to damage her Campaign. Telesca does NOT live nor vote in Cary.

I.A.2. As the October Election approached, Telesca posted dozens of distortions in public attacks on CaryPolitics.org Website to erode voter support, and to create hostility toward his fellow Democratic Party Officer. Telesca's posts claimed the Candidate did not have support of her Party, which had no basis in fact. At least 4 of his posts were attempts to justify his attacks on his fellow Democrat.

I.A.3. Telesca posted numerous negative statements on Facebook to ostracize his fellow Party Officer, and to provide misinformation and rumor to her Republican opposition. Telesca blocked her from seeing his comments posted to hundreds of other Democrats, posting that she was psychologically unfit, among other unsubstantiated charges.

I.B.1. Telesca sought to amend the NCDP Plan of Organization at the 2009 August SEC Meeting to preempt a Petition for his removal from Office and avoid responsibility for his disloyal actions against the Democratic Party. Because the SEC Meeting was running long, Telesca panicked and implored T.E. Austin to push his Amendment ahead. When the Meeting lost its quorum and ended without passing the Amendment, Telesca left in a huff shouting criticisms to those present.

II. Wake Co Party Conspirator Ruth Merkle

II.A.1: Failed as Cary Vice Chair to promote and support all Democratic Candidates in the Cary Municipal Election of October 2009. Merkle lives and votes in Cary District C, where she is also a Precinct Chair.

II.A.2: Organized a neighborhood meeting with Republican incumbent one month before election and excluded his only Democratic opponent.
.
II.A.3: Merkle personally removed 23 yard signs of the Democratic Candidate, threatening to throw them away, but later returned them on Election Day morning, upon the Candidate's request. Merkle has admitted her actions on CaryPolitics.org posting under her alias, NCCary42Long.

II.A.4: Merkle posted negative comments on Facebook & CaryPolitics.org about a Democratic Candidate and fellow Officer, impugning her grasp of Cary's growth issues, calling the Candidate "clueless" while posting supportive comments about the Republican incumbent.

II.A.5: Merkle as Cary Vice Chair refused in Emails to meet with Cary District C Democratic Candidate or to provide requested information about Democratic Precinct Officers.

II.A.6: At the Board of Elections on the last day to File to run for Office, Merkle promised the Democratic Candidate to make her Campaign "very ugly."

III.A.3. Posted against the Democratic Candidate, using endorsement language supporting her Republican opponent, and impugning her leadership skills.

III.B. Casey does not live nor vote in Cary District C.

IV. Wake Co Party Conspirator Doris Weaver

Offices held: Wake Co SEC member, Congressional District Committee member, former Wake Co Chair; Organizer: Witches of Wake; allowed and encouraged invasion of Progressive Democrats of Wake County into Wake County Democratic Party.
Crimes committed against the Party:
IV.A.1. Initiating a private war against a former County Party colleague who was the only Candidate opposing the Republican Incumbent for Cary Town Council District C, Doris Weaver wrote and published numerous blog attacks under at least 2 identities intending to cause defeat of the Democratic Candidate. Weaver does NOT live nor vote in Cary District C, and had no reason to be involved in the Cary District C political race.

IV.A.2. With no legitimate connection to the Cary District C Municipal Election, Weaver chose to post her personal attacks on CaryPolitics.org where they would receive maximum exposure to voters. After the Election, the Website Administrator identified C. Daily as an alias of Doris Weaver. Weaver also asked to establish a second secret false identity so that she could anonymously publish more damaging statements, telling the Republican Administrator that she could be removed from Office if she published these types of statements against a Democratic Candidate under her real name.

IV.A.3. Blogging as C.Daily, Weaver's private war included comparing the Democratic Candidate and her fellow Officer to Adolph Hitler, and her supporters to Charles Manson supporters; started a false rumor that the Democratic Candidate was dropping out of the race; claimed just because a Candidate was a Democrat did not make her worthy of votes; and also claimed the Democratic Candidate was mentally unable to work. Weaver continually bragged about issuing a Petition to have had the Democratic Candidate removed from Party Office, claiming that unrelated event made her unfit to hold Public Office.

IV.A.4. A responding Wake Co Party Officer -- who was also a Cary resident -- asked C.Daily to stop airing "dirty laundry" and to end personal attacks on the Candidate's abilities and credibility, which had no effect on C.Daily.

Role of Wake Co Party Chair Jack Nichols:
.
Jack inherited an open can of worms from his predecessor Doris Weaver. Most likely he accepted the Office of Chair without any idea that her shadow would continue to haunt him.
.
Jack didn't matriculate up thru the Wake Co Party to become its Chair. He was swept up somewhat in desperation by those hoping to get the Wake Co Party back on track after the Devastation of Doris: angry fist-pounding meetings, low fundraising, disunity, and 2 massive, expensive, time-wasting, demoralizing and pointless Trials of a Wake Party Officer.

Jack took on the role of Chair, probably thinking it would look good on his resume, for future political aspirations. And it might work, IF he forthrightly faces his responsibility and does his duty as Chair. Otherwise, Jack's political career is finished.
.
His role as Chair thus far has met mixed reviews. When Conspirators clustered at a Wake Co Party Meeting to seek removal of a Candidate's Name from the list of Democrats to appear on October Election Day poll flyers, their motion was voted down. Later attempts to determine names of those who voted to eliminate the Candidate's Name have been thwarted, claiming that because the motion didn't pass, those who organized the motion and voted for it did not matter.

But that's not correct. Those who proposed and voted FOR eliminating a properly registered Democratic Candidate's name from any list did, in fact, vote FOR electing her Republican opponent. There is absolutely no way to deny this. And every Progressive Vigilante who voted to do this knew exactly what they were doing. There was no misunderstanding involved.
.
These Progressives would have shot down their own Democratic Candidate and fellow Party Officer, had they been able.
.
These included Wake Democratic Men President Mike Schaul, Democratic Women President Linda Gunter, and Wake Co Cary Vice Chair Ruth Merkle. Each of these Conspirators is also an SEC Member.
.
Though Jack claims credit for stopping this action, that's only half the story: he allowed a known crime against the Party to come to a vote.
.
What Jack should have explained to them as Chair was this: "If you vote FOR this motion, you will be in violation of the NCDP Plan of Organization, and you will be voting to expel yourself as any present or future Officer of the Democratic Party."
.
Those who voted FOR this motion are forevermore marked UNFIT TO SERVE.
