Although this is probably a short-term loss by the "affirmative action bunch" closely tied to the Obama quest for cultural change in America, the ruling today by the Supreme Court that sided with the white firefighters in New Haven, Conn. was particurlarly satisfying.

I give kudos to the U.S. Supreme Court for having the nads to make this ruling.  Of course, it's totally along "political" lines with the conservative-leaning justices having one more vote than the lib-leaning justices.

God help us, y'all if one of those conservs dies or otherwise decides to leave the "court".  We're already seeing the cultural change dictated through laws enacted by our heavily liberal congress....if the U.S. Supreme Court changes its majority to libo....we're gonna see something no one in past history ever visioned could EVER happen in America.

As the owner of a small business, we're looking at taking our holdings and just investing in safe funds and realizing the profits from that.  This will mean a loss of jobs for our 7 employees which I regret, but in todays climate, that make far more sense than to have to continue our efforts to make sure our employees are employed rather than just realizing good returns from our holdings.

I know this hurts those that have relied on us to give them employment and benefits, but as things progress it just doesn't make any sense for our extended family to put up with what we will see eventually happening to our business.

Hooray for our current common sense Supreme Court.  They overturned a nut job ruling by radical leftist Sotomayor. Down, down, down with Sotomayor!!!

In short order another Judge will be appointed by OBAMA and that ruling and others will be 5 to 4 the other way.Change is definitely coming. And the assault on the Constitution will be head on.More than likely Obama will get a 3rd appointment and then those decisions will be 6 to 3.Appears to me that we,the Constitutionalist have lost. What sense does it make to continue electing psuedo conservatives when the entire legal system is changing. The Court is where policy is going to be made.

I'm not sure when the next Supreme Court justice will step down but you may be right on this one.  If it's one of the conservative-leaning justices, we're going to see a wholesale attempt at legislating from the bench.  And, there won't be anyone to stop it because the House and Senate are majority democratic and they're not going to go against anything liberal that comes out of rulings from the Supreme Court.

This is gonna be just one more avenue for Obama & Co. to continue down the path to their socialist agenda for America.  We just saw the court overturn a reverse discrimination ruling by Sotomayer and the other two lower court justices.  This had far reaching implications with regard to Affirmative Action for minorities.....but, if the Supreme Court does become predominantly liberal because of retirements/deaths and Obama appoints another justice, we're going to see that ruling overturned...take it to the bank.  It doesn't matter what is "right"....it matters what the agenda is of the left in our country.

Only time will tell the implications of what the Obama administration has in store for America.  There can't be much argument against his quest to have the government involved more and more in people's lives and more and more in our capitalist society.

We may never again see the America we once cherished and dedicated our lives to...as military personnel and as concerned citizens respecting the constitution and the freedom to succeed or not succeed based on our own initiative and merit.
