The recent vote on the ''Cap and Tax'' bill, the biggest tax increase in American history, as well as the biggest government power grab, seperated the men from the boys and really showed what politicians were made of.

Heath Shuler, has tried to posture himself as a moderate ''blue dog'' (using the true political meaning of that color, indicating conservative, as opposed to red which means socialist) but now that is exposed as a bald faced lie.  He and the other North Carolina Democrats followed radical socialist Nancy Pelosi like lemmings right off the high tax / government intrusion ''global warmist'' cliff.  It is now laughable for this goofball Shuler to try to claim he is anything other than a far left Pelosi Democrat.

As Dr, Vaclav Klaus, currently President of the Czech Republic and also rotating President of the EU, has so clearly pointed out the global warming ideology is a budding totalitarian ideology that is the biggest threat to freedom, democracy, and prosperity in the world today.  Shuler has now joined Pelosi as being part of that threat.

All you say is true but the GOP and especially the NCGOP is so weak they cannot beat Shuler if he runs for Congress again or runs against Burr, which is what he is going to do.The NCGOP is saddled with incompetent leaders, consultants, strategist and various gadflys from top to bottom. It will take a generation to change the NCGOP and by that time the libs will have every culture changing program in law.You can't say we didn't have our chance in the past but we blew it.

The decade that the Cobey clique has been in power has certainly weakened the party organization, but NC voters are fundamentally conservative and a good candidate building their own organization can win in spite of the party's institutional weakness.

I don't care what republican is elected in the future. The laws, programs and policies the Obama administration will change the country to a socialist nation. And elected officials ust follow the law and there is no roll back-so in that scenario who cares who gets elected-it will be wise to get a government job.As aparently there are no layoffs.
